Cutting Up
Monday, September 17th, 2012Made some cute cards with my new Cricut Mini die cutting machine. I like this mini machine better than any of the other Cricuts I’ve tried. It hooks to your computer and it’s so much easier to see what you’re doing, change sizes and make adjustments on the computer screen.
I love this cool Bride of Frankenstein, she’s from the Movable Monsters collection.
This cute owl come from the Create a Critter cartridge, it has such adorable animals and accessories to go with them.
If you’d like a chance to win a Cricut Mini I’m having a giveaway over on the Craft Gossip blog, click here for the post and enter.

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011What’s that? The sounds of a Cricut?? That’s right, I just got a brand new Cricut Expression 2! I got it to review for Craft Gossip, you can read my complete review over there. (We are also giving one away, details in the link).
So I wanted to share the projects I made with it. The first is a card made using the bunny and banner from the Just a Note cartridge. The stamp is from CTMH.
This is the first scrapbook page I’ve made in quite some time, but since this machine cuts 12″ x 12″ I just had to make one
It features pictures of my husband and his mom’s sweet dog Sofie who passed away recently, the whole family misses her a lot, she was a wonderful dog! Isn’t that die cut doggie so cute? It’s from The American Alpha. cartridge, the rest of the large background shapes and tags are from the Essentials cartridge.
This last one is a coaster, I got an inexpensive tile from the hardware store and cut black and white vinyl in the fleur de lis shapes from the Essentials cartridge. I was really impressed at how well this machine cut thick Bazzil cardstock and vinyl.
I’ve Been Framed!
Thursday, May 26th, 2011Playing around my my Silhouette die cutting machine and some black heat transfer material. I ironed the images onto unbleached muslin (which is hard to tell from the photo, the glass has some glare) and then put them in simple black frames. The deer image is from Silhouette, the fox is an independent file from the Wishblade Yahoo group, the font is called “elephant”, I love that font!
Went to Sea in a Beautiful Pea Green Boat
Sunday, April 24th, 2011I am SO happy with the way this card turned out. It’s my second for the latest Lawnscaping “Critters” challenge. I got to thinking about the different animals in the sets and realized one has an owl and another has a cat, so I die cut a boat for an Owl and the Pussycat card. Stamps are from Lawn Fawn, papers are from My Minds Eye and the boat die cut is a Silhouette shape.
