Thursday, September 7th, 2017Halloween time is almost here, it’s my favorite time of year! I’ve added a hand stamped tag tied with baker’s twine to these small plastic test tube like treat tubes. They’re a fun and different way to give out candy or small treats this year.

Monday, October 27th, 2014This custom collage was made for a friend to give as a gift to someone who loves Poe as much as I do.
Here’s some details on how I made it:
-paint a 5″ x 7″ canvas board with gray paint,
-tear a page from a vintage book and adhere on canvas using gel medium
-print vintage clip art image of Poe on cardstock and die cut, layer scallop die cut behind and adhere to canvas
-stamp raven on book page scrap, cut out and adhere
-wrap bottom of canvas with black mesh ribbon and layer on crumped and inked crepe paper
-on a metal label embellishment stamp “nevermore” with Staz-On ink, adhere over ribbon and crepe paper
-glue pen nib to metal embellishment
-on back of large domino stamp skeletons with Staz-On ink, color sides of domino with black Sharpie marker, adhere to canvas
– adhere game tiles that spell “POE” to canvas

Hocus Pocus
Tuesday, October 8th, 2013I love to incorporate stamping with my mixed media collages. Here’s some more info on how I made these fun Halloween wall decorations.
Using a vintage BINGO card as a base I stamped tiny stars all over in black ink. I made a copy of a vintage photo and tinted the girls clothes with alcohol markers, added witch hat brads to their heads and also some vintage book text. I layered this onto black cardstock trimmed with deckle edge scissors and adhered it to my bingo card. For the medallion I layered a plain punched circle from yellow cardstock onto a scalloped circle from black cardstock and on top of that I adhered a black cat which I stamped onto white cardstock, embossed using black embossing powder and cut out. To the top corners of the bingo card I added some large eyelets and tied some ribbon to hang it from.
For this card I did similar treatments on the photo, card and hanger but instead of the medallion I added some triangles cut from purple and yellow cardstocks and added stamped letters to each flag to spell out “BOO!”.

Cast a Spell………….Expecto Patronum!
Monday, September 30th, 2013Aren’t these black kitties adorable?! They look like they are such good helpers for their witches and wizards!
I made these two ACEO/ Artist Trading cards (3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″)using stamps from C.C. Designs. I stamped each kitty onto white cardstock with Memento Black ink and use Spectrum Noir markers to color them. It’s so easy to add shadowing, shading and depth with these markers! I love them! I’m not sure if you can tell but I also added touches of glitter using a Stardust Gell Roll, to the potion bottles and the hat band. I then cut each image out and mounted them using foam tape onto an orange harlequin pattern paper. Onto the pattern papers I stamped some fun text and a spider web or stars. Then mounted the pattern paper onto cardstock. I think they turned out so cute! These cards are currently available in my Etsy shop.
